Hi Abdelhak,
I am very sorry you lost access to hours of work. We have preserved your attached Drawing1.dwg and screenshot and are treating this as an urgent data-loss report.
We reproduced a serious saving bug in Nasjicad 1.0.37: saving while a Layout tab is active can write the active paper-space objects instead of the model drawing. This is consistent with your file and its preview, although we still need your local copies to confirm the full sequence. We are fixing the save path and adding stronger recovery protection.
Your uploaded DWG contains no model-space drawing objects. Its preview image is not enough to reconstruct your work accurately, so we cannot honestly attach a complete recovered drawing yet. The best recovery candidates are the separate versions on your Windows computer.
Please follow these steps in order:
1. Preserve the recovery data first. Do not overwrite Drawing1.dwg, uninstall/reset Nasjicad, clear its application data, or remove saved versions. Press Win+R, enter %APPDATA%, and look for the nasjicad folder. Copy the whole folder somewhere safe, especially the versions and dwg-doc-cache subfolders. Work from the copy when sending files to us.
2. If the original drawing is still open and visible in any Nasjicad window, keep it open. Select the Model tab at the bottom first. Use Save As and choose a NEW filename, such as Drawing1-recovery.njc. Also save a separate DWG from Model. Do not replace your original file. Check the new copy in another tab before closing the original.
3. In the same Windows installation, click the Files / folder icon on the right-hand sidebar. Expand Drawing1 and inspect its saved versions and autosaves. Start with a version before the drawing became empty. Our save records show a non-empty save at 08:23 UTC on 26 September, followed by saves at 08:46 UTC that reported zero active-space objects; use your local time when comparing entries. Try several earlier copies if necessary, because a copy made while Layout was active can have the same bug.
4. Each version opens separately. If the drawing is present, select Model and save it under a new filename. Check its layers, overall extents, and the missing drainage/site details against your screenshot. Keep the original backup folder unchanged.
5. If the Files list is empty or none of the listed copies is complete, the raw .njc files may still exist inside versions. Please tell us what you find. We can also inspect the relevant Drawing1 files from dwg-doc-cache. Do not upload the whole application folder publicly: it may contain other projects and account data. You can attach only the Drawing1 .njc backup to this report if it is suitable to share publicly, or email the relevant project backup privately to [email protected] and mention this report. Do not send login tokens, passwords, or unrelated projects.
Please tell us which version opens and whether the last save was made from Model or a Layout tab. We will inspect any project backup you provide, recover what is actually present, and verify it before returning a recovered DWG. We will keep this report open while recovery is unresolved.
