64-bit x86 Linux. The .deb package is intended for Ubuntu 22.04/24.04 and compatible Debian-based desktops. ARM devices are not supported by these packages.

Manual drafting is free and needs no account. AI work needs internet access; ordinary local editing works offline.

Install on Ubuntu

  1. Download the .deb package. In Files, open your Downloads folder and choose Open in Terminal.
  2. Run the command below, then launch Nasjicad from your applications menu. Keep your drawings in your usual project folders.
  3. Updates download inside Nasjicad. Installing a .deb update may ask for your administrator password. Save open drawings before restarting.
sudo apt install ./Nasjicad-1.0.37-linux-amd64.deb

Replace the filename with the version you downloaded.

Use the AppImage

Keep the AppImage in a permanent writable folder such as ~/Applications. Mark it executable, then open it. It can update its own file. On systems that restrict portable Electron apps, use the .deb package or web version; do not disable the browser sandbox.

Before you switch

Can I open DWG files on Ubuntu?

Nasjicad opens and saves DWG and DXF. Test a copy of a representative project, including its fonts, external references and unusual objects, before moving your workflow.

Is this AutoCAD for Linux?

No. Nasjicad is an independent CAD application published by UPREPS LTD. AutoCAD is an Autodesk product; Nasjicad is not affiliated with Autodesk.

Does Linux get the same drawing tools?

The Linux, Windows, Mac and browser versions share the CAD renderer: layers, dimensions, hatches, blocks and editable geometry. Desktop integration and installation differ by platform.
