About this block
This plan symbol shows a single leaf standing open between two rectangular jambs, its swing path traced as a long sweeping curve rather than a simple quarter arc. The symbol is one block definition of only 7 entities (5 polylines and 2 arcs), placed on layers A-Door and NET 01, and it spans 1.04 by 0.98 drawing units, so the leaf is about a metre wide if read in metres.
It works as a quick door symbol in schematic plans at 1:100 and 1:200 where the exact swing geometry is not critical. Insert it with the hinge jamb on your wall, and mirror or rotate for the other hand. If your office standard requires a true arc, explode one copy, delete the curve and draw a 90-degree arc from the hinge; the jambs and leaf are already there. Scale by 1000 for millimetre plans.
