About this block
A 2.26 by 1.09 m three-seater sits above two matching armchairs, each seat filled with a solid hatch so the upholstery reads as a block of tone. Three back cushions and two rolled arm bolsters are drawn as separate rounded shapes on top of the fill. Block 154 is the sofa at 31 entities including one hatch; block 156 is the armchair at 28 entities with two hatches, and it nests a second definition for the bolster pair.
Hatched furniture belongs on interior presentation plans and marketing layouts where the drawing prints in greyscale and the seating has to stand away from the floor. The group covers a little over 2.3 m across, so it fits the short wall of a small apartment lounge at 1:50. The second armchair is placed with an X scale of -0.01, a mirror of the first, which keeps the pair turned towards each other.
Solid hatches print heavy; if the plan is going out at 1:100, set the hatch objects to a light grey or move them onto a layer you can switch off. All three inserts sit at 0.01 scale, so the definitions are drawn in centimetres, and scaling a copy up by 100 before exploding keeps everything where you expect it. Edit block 156 once and both armchairs follow the change.
