About this block
Six branches radiate from a central leader in a six-pointed star, each spine carrying rows of fine needles that sweep forward towards the tip and shorten as they go. The needles are drawn one line at a time, which is why this version looks softer than the smaller six-branch symbol. It is one insert on a layer called CAY and it spans 18.6 by 18.8 units — four to five times the size the same symbol usually comes at.
That scale matters. Eighteen units is too wide for a conifer read in metres, so the block was almost certainly drawn in feet or simply built oversized for a small-scale sheet. Measure the star after inserting and scale it to the crown spread you actually need before you copy it around. Once it is right, it earns its place on forestry plans, park layouts and mountain resort site plans, where a conifer has to be told apart from broadleaf planting at a glance.
